Chris Voss was the former FBI lead international kidnapping negotiator and now runs the Black Swan Group, a strategy consultancy. He is also the author of negotiation best-seller, "Never Split The Difference." In this conversation with Chris, we talk about the art of negotiation, and the art of making a deal, the role of negotiations in business and in life, how to distinguish between real and fake opportunities and the power of calm. We talk about BATNA and various negotiation techniques, as well as some of his experiences, and the importance of empathy in negotiating among other big topics.
